The estimated project cost was USD. 335,428,429.00 (US Dollars Three Hundred and Thirty five millions, four hundred twenty Eight thousand, four hundred and twenty Nine only) which include designing, construction, equipping and financing of Phase 1 of the new multi-specialty Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Project. The proposed hospital was planned to provide multi-specialized tertiary quality healthcare to the public in not only Kenya but also the whole of East Africa region and be a model teaching and referral hospital incorporating medical tourism. Additionally, the project was to provide teaching facilities to the medical schools in the North Rift, Western Kenya region and beyond.
ECA completed the study project successfully and the client was issued with NEMA permit license to undertake the construction of the Multi-Specialty Teaching and Referral Hospital.
