Environtech Consultancy Africa Ltd was contracted by Kinde Engineering in Association with Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC)) to undertake an Environmental Baseline Survey on the feasibility study for installation and installation of KPC fibre optic cable along the KPC way leave traversing in several counties. The total Length of the survey route was over 1000Kms starting at the coast Region with Mombasa county traversing through Taita Taveta Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, Nairobi, Kiambu, Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Kericho counties and finally terminating at Kisumu County on the lake basin. The baseline survey study was included the various fiber optic spurs that were to connect to the clients along the route and counties.
The study was completed successfully with complete guide to the possible environmental, economic and social impacts that were expected to emanate from the undertaking of the project.
