The proposed optic fibre-laying project is located in Nyali Area in Mombasa County covering 1.5 Kms. The fibre laying that started at the termination point of Dare 1 Submarine Cable at the first manhole located 10 meters from the Ocean at Nyali beach on the landside and moves along the road reserves to terminating at Telkom House (Nyali Post office) at junction of Links and Impala roads. The project was to be done along the road reserves and hence no acquisitions of land will be needed. This part of the fibre optic cable installation in Nyali area in Mombasa County is an addition of Telkom Kenya Ltd networking of the whole country with fibre optic cable installation project. The project has and includes several Spurs and Ducts.
ECA successfully completed the study project and the client was issued with NEMA EIA license permitting Telkom Kenya Ltd to undertake the proposed project.
